What happens if you dye horizontal stripes on a sock blank? Do you end up with solid stripes? Since you're dyeing over knit rows of yarn, you will end up with some variegated sections where colors transition - even if you were to precisely draw on each stripe. Plus, these striped sections are not completely solid because the resist from the knit stitches can cause some speckles (I like to call them Reverse Speckles). All of these features make the yarn unique and extra fun, and I love dyeing up
