Myrtle Beach’s Air Force is getting a wash and a wax this week… A contractor is giving the three planes on static display at Warbird Park a bath and a polish, in keeping with US Air Force requirements. The planes are on permanent loan, but must be maintained to Air Force standards. The F-100 Super Sabre, the A-7D Corsair and the A-10 Warthog all were stationed at the Air Force Base and saw use during the Cold War, Vietnam and the Persian Gulf War. The Myrtle Beach Air Force Base closed in 1993,
