CINCINNATI — The Bearcats offense exploded for its best game in the Big 12 yet this season across Sunday's 92-72 win over Rival UCF. Cincinnati basketball spread out the scoring and had plenty of highlight moments to choose from in their ninth win over the Knights in 10 total games played in Clifton.

Michigan State defeated No. 5 Illinois in an overtime basketball game on Saturday. Jeremy Fears Jr. led the Spartans with 26 points and 15 assists. The victory improved Michigan State's record to 20-4 overall and 10-3 in the Big Ten.

Byrnes boys basketball won Feb. 6 at Dorman, 74-72. Colt Fowler (1) had 25 points for Byrnes and Aaden Bruton-Smith (4) had 28 points for Dorman.

In a crossover showdown of Mid-State Activities Conference powers, St. Charles faced little resistance in a 53-25 girls basketball blowout Thursday over Mount Pleasant Sacred Heart. The teams are in first place in their respective MSAC divisions, with Sacred Heart 6-0 in the MSAC West and St. Charles 5-1 in the MSAC East.

Michigan basketball dominated Ohio State with an 82-61 victory in Columbus, solidifying its position as the No. 1 team in the Big Ten.
